I love this blog called Writers Who Care. It’s a fantastic resource for teachers and parents on what solid writing instruction looks like, which is a far cry from some of the practices that have become commonplace in schools today. Start with this wonderful piece by Katie Sluiter, an 8th grade teacher who shares her messy writing process with her kids. (And Kudos to the Commission on Writing Teacher Education, a working group of the Conference on English Education.)
