How to Gerrrymander School Districts: A Primer

Where to draw the lines?

School districts are not natural phenomena; they are political constructs. We don’t often use the term “gerrymandering” to refer to education, but this excellent piece by Vox spells out why we should. (Also, I’m reading a fantastic book by a former Supreme Court Justice in which he argues for six amendments to the Constitution the US desperately needs. None are about education sadly, but the gerrymandering chapter is fascinating.)
