If Coding is Writing, What’s Feedback Look Like?
Two tweets offer some suggestion
The idea the coding should actually be considered a form of writing is something educators must seriously consider. (See this excellent new book by a composition professor explaining why.) I saw these two tweets this morning, one about giving feedback to a child’s Python code, one about how teachers can give quality feedback to traditional writing. We need to compare and contrast such things more often.
