In the Wake of Yesterday’s School Shooting, Look Up “Kakistocracy”
There's a word for every "terrible" occasion
When children don’t succeed in school, kakistocrats blame the teacher. When children don’t survive in school (like yesterday’s shooting in Florida), kakistocrats blame the shooter. You see how so many of our elected officials abdicate their responsibility to the public? Fixating on the individual teacher or madman distracts us from addressing the complexity of society and the inadequacy of our laws. Case in point: Here is how the President framed the shooting while I was actually writing this post:
So many signs that the Florida shooter was mentally disturbed, even expelled from school for bad and erratic behavior. Neighbors and classmates knew he was a big problem. Must always report such instances to authorities, again and again!
