Why Tolkien Had a “Heartfelt Loathing” for All Things Disney

A fascinating read about what happened when Tolkien and his friend C.S. Lewis went to see Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.  One highlight is when Lewis referred to Walt Disney as a “poor boob” who might have been great if he had been properly educated. Ouch.

Tolkien doesn’t hold back either, going as far as to forbid his books to be turned into movies by Disney.
