Yet Another Reason to Visit the New York Public Library: Authors’ Locks of Hair?
Like free books weren't enough
That’s not a typo. As shared in this recent New Yorker article, the famed library has lots of odd artifacts from authors’ lives: Woolf’s walking cane, Dickens’ writing desk, Kerouac’s boots. And they also have hair, like locks from Whitman and Bronte. Check out the video and, if you find yourself in Manhattan, try your luck at getting a visit in.
