A School District’s Warning Against Homosexuality

Narrated by a police officer, the film was produced as a collaboration between local law enforcement and Inglewood School District on the dangers of homosexuality.  It contains the quote, “What Jimmy didn’t know was that Ralph was sick.  A sickness that was not visible like smallpox, but no less dangerous and contagious–a sickness of the mind. You see, Ralph was a homosexual.” It’s not always clear how far we’ve come since the film, “Boys Beware,” debuted 1961.
