Disney Made an Anti-Nazi Educational Film, Really
Another kind of public education.
Gone are the days when Disney meant theme parks and anthropomorphic characters retelling story tales. (I’m not sure I ever longed for those days–neither did Tolkien–but I respect that Disney brings joy to many others.) This 1943 video translates the danger of Nazism to the cartoon-watching public by tracing the life trajectory of a young German boy. It ends thus:
For now his education is complete, his education for death.
