The New Yorker’s Piece on Success Academy

The New Yorker‘s recent story about the famed charter school network is getting a lot of attention. I am well versed in the concerns expressed about the current way charter schools are being used politically. I have also witnessed public schools serving communities of color that mistreat children in the name of rigor and reform. When we say public education, what is it we refer to–for whom and to what end?
