Shakespearean Robotics

Poetry, prose, and programs

In honor of Shakespeare’s 454th birthday, I presented BardBots–a Shakespearean introduction to computational thinking. Students study monologues from Shakespeare, annotate for characterization and blocking, then they are challenged to program robots to perform the scenes. See here for videos of the project in action and other curricular resources. (And here’s a great adaptation of the project by an English teacher in Georgia!) Happy Birthday, Will!
