My jaw dropped several times watching this. We hear the term “fake news” so often it can mask the subversive depths of what is going on in the world. In this video series, the NYTimes tries to make the case that what appears to be quick and frequent “lies” can actually be part of very intentional and sustained efforts to undermine public faith in public institutions.
How should schools respond to these realities? How do we do so that avoids partisan politics in the name of civic education?
