Talking with a new teacher recently, I casually mentioned Reading Rainbow. A blank stare followed. Reading Rainbow, I reiterated. The PBS show with Levar Burton. The show on this t-shirt I am ordering online right now. The SINGLE greatest literacy show of all time?!
She had never heard of it, leaving me feeling sad and old.
